LITERATURE
The illustrations for a literary piece are always the illustrator’s personal interpretation. They portray a certain vision on the work. Nescio has always been one of my favorite writers; he can tell so much with so few words. It was an honor for me to be able to illustrate four of his works. I was also responsible for the books’ design. The format, paper choice and typography give these works the feel of a series. I have also done illustrations for books by Raymond Queneau, Stefan Themerson, Daniil Charms, Lewis Carroll, Samuel Beckett, Haruki Murakami and David Sedaris.
