COMICS

I started to draw comics at the end of the 1960s, while still studying industrial design. In 1970 I founded comics magazine Modern Papier, and from 1971 onwards, I published my comics in Dutch underground comics magazine Tante Leny Presenteert! From 1980 on I visit almost each year the international comics festival Salon International De La Bande Dessinée in Angoulême, France. Many of my titles were published by Futuropolis in Paris  my comics have been translated into English, French, German, Spanish, Catalan and Italian. Another favourite publisher was Raw magazine, founded by Art Spiegelman and Francoise Mouly. I participated from the very first issue in 1979 up to the last issue in 1991.
