KUNSTHAL EXHIBITION

‘Joost Swarte Overal’ (Joost Swart Everywhere) was the title of a large retrospective of my work in the Kunsthal in Rotterdam between October 2019 and January 2020. Guest curator Gert-Jan Pos wanted to show the diversity in my oeuvre. My daughter, Suze, was responsible for the design. Besides the many works on display, visitors could watch a recording of the creative process of a comic strip. This time-lapse movie was filmed at the Fumetto comics festival in Luzern, where I was artist in residence in 2017.
