STAINED GLASS
In 1999 I designed stained-glass windows for the first time: 34 for the staircases of a subsidized housing complex in Amsterdam. The largest window I designed was for the Palace of Justice in Arnhem. In it I depicted a society in which people treat each other badly in all kinds of ways. I also made stained-glass windows for several schools in The Hague and in Haarlem. Commissioned by publisher Jacques Glénat in Grenoble, I designed ten windows for the library in the Saint Cécile Chapel, which depict the birth of the book as seen from the publisher’s perspective.
